S2 PP13 - REFLECTION & TRANSLATIONAL SYMMETRY ARTWORK

Discussion(s):

The objective of the assignment was to create an image in that used reflectional symmetry. I achieved this reflecting the image of of the rock horizontally over the central axis.

The other objective of the assignment was to create an image that used translational symmetry. I achieved this by repeating the pattern of the triangles in the image multiple times.

S2 Portfolio Project 12 - QUESTIONING REALITY (PofDESIGN BALANCE /PUPPET WARP)

Discussion :

My goal of my artwork was to create a piece of art that had asymmetrical balance and made the viewer question reality. I created the asymmetrical balance by having the sun on one side of the image and the bird on the other. I created warped reality by the using the puppet warp tool to change the dimensions of the seagull.

S2 Portfolio Project 11 - EofA TEXTURE

Discussion:

I showed implied texture in my artwork through the use of multiple layers in my artwork. I used noise filter layers in photoshop to create texture/detail in my artwork. The filter helps to give the artwork an element of roughness in the texture.
