The emotions I was trying to make the viewer feel through the use of negative space were feelings of mystery and to place more of an emphasis on the circles that comprised in the positive space.
3. Did you use direction or linear perspective to indicate movement?
I used linear perspective to indicate movement by having the circles fade out and get smaller.
4. What type(s) of space did you use to create depth?
I used 3 dimensional space with linear perspective to create depth with by having the circles fade out and get smaller across the image.
5. Did you incorporate the Rule of Thirds? Why / Why not?
I didn’t use the rule of thirds because I wanted to have the circles get smaller across the image uniformly.

S2 Portfolio Project 8 - EofArt VALUE

Discussion(Reflection Questions/Statements)

What were you trying to communicate with your artwork? (A) What message do you want your audience to take away from viewing your work?
What I was trying to communicate feelings of mystery with the 3 polygons all next to each other with their shadows behind them. (A) The message I want my audience to take from my artwork is how value can provide a sense an immense amount of unknown meaning to art.
Discuss how you used value (highlights / shadowing) in your artwork.
I used the shadowing in the polygons to create mystery as to why the polygons are in the formation that they are in.
